About the Card Reading Group:
Many people have told us that they would like to be able to practice reading tarot or oracle cards while they are learning. This group was created in response to people's desire to perfect their card reading and read for people they don't already know! Give & receive readings in a relaxed, informal environment.
Practicing in person is different from reading online. It can be an advantage to getting information more quickly, because you are close to the person's energy field (their aura), so you can pick up on their thoughts & emotions more strongly. Also, practicing in person with other activity around (some rooms may have a few other pairs of readers 6 feet away) can be a good challenge in learning to focus & tune out other distractions & conversations. This setting also more realistically simulates real-world, in-person settings you might eventually want to read at, like parties, psychic fairs, expos, and conferences.
Using the book or going slowly is part of the practice, and will be honored. Reading only for others who are practicing card reading themselves and understand the process takes the pressure off! And with no one paying for the reading, should decrease performance anxiety.
The fee charged is for the use of the space. Amy Garber, who will host the event, is not a card reader herself, so will not be "teaching" the group. However, she can provide advice upon request on how to trust yourself and use your intuition when giving the reading, based on her years of teaching students Intuition Development classes. (Learn more about Amy's Intuition School, and her Reading Practice Class, under "Classes" on this web page.)
