About the Event:

Internationally acclaimed local soprano and musician Norma Gentile, Sound Shaman, offers an hour-long meditation of Spiritual Insights, Healing Songs, and Silence. Come hear Norma's ethereal voice accompanied by sound bowls, guided intuitively for a one-of-a-kind, transformative healing and musical experience!

Norma and her guides, usually Archangel Michael, Mary, and the Hathor Altamira, focus on calming, centering, and nourishing as we are bombarded by energies that tend to lead us into too much 'Doing' and not enough 'Being' this time of year. Especially this year!

From the end of July until the middle of September, there is an alignment of the Sirian Suns with our own Sun. This alignment bathes us in Sacred Masculine energies. What many call the Lion's Gate in early August is only a portion of this process. This year we are also passing through a region of space containing a Cosmic Cloud that effects our upper chakras.

The alignment with the Sirian Suns (Lion's Gate and Sirian Portal), two Full Supermoons and our entering into this months-long Cosmic Cloud (which contributes to confusion, questioning our decisions) will be addressed. This Cosmic Cloud is especially noticeable as it partially blocks our Third Eye /  6th chakra.

Most people in Western Culture have learned to use their upper chakras (7th - 5th) for Spiritual connection, healing and intuition.  Indigenous healers cultivate their lower chakras. We in non-indigenous cultures can use this as an opportunity to learn more about the intuitive abilities we have in the heart, belly and lower body body chakras.  Join me, as we begin this exploration Aug 11, with a second meditation on Oct 22.

Norma Gentile is a professional recording artist and singer who earned a Bachelors and Masters in Voice Performance from the University of Michigan. She is also a natural clairvoyant healer and trained intuitive. Her three CDs of chant by Hildegard von Bingen, Unfurling Love's CreationMeditation Chants, and Healing Chants, have met with international praise. Her concerts, workshops and recordings reflect her passion in bringing music from the inaudible realms into the physical world for healing purposes.

Norma's formal training in music combined with her studies in esoteric healing have helped her understand how sound affects our ability to heal. With this awareness, she is a pioneer in the field of sound and healing. Norma teaches workshops across the country in this arena, and has earned critical praise internationally for her recordings of sacred chant. Considered one of the leading specialists in the performance of Gregorian chants of the 12th century mystic and abbess Hildegard von Bingen, her concert performances are unique experiences of sacred sound and sacred healing.

Norma has been featured on CBS-TV and on nationally syndicated radio shows such as All Things Considered, Harmonia, and Sound & Spirit. Her music is utilized by Carolyn Myss, Drunvalo Melchizedek, and other presenters. Her healing experience is recounted in Brooke Medicine-Eagle's book The Last Ghost Dance. Norma's articles appear regularly in magazines as diverse as Early Music America Magazine, Sedona Journal, The Monthly Aspectarian, and numerous monthly metaphysical magazines.

She brings to her work "intimacy, trust and abandonment in God" says Yoga Journal. "She has a fine, rich-toned, splendidly controlled voice…" according to American Record Guide. David Fallows of Gramophone Magazine highlighted Unfurling Love's Creation as one of three outstanding Hildegard recordings.

Norma has been invited to teach at the American Conservatory Theater and Wisdom University. She coached cast members of Broadway shows Vagina Monologues and The Lion King, as well as singers from musical groups as diverse as Sweet Honey in the Rock and Hesperion XXI. She has presented workshops and has been a keynote speaker on Sound Healing for the Association of Humanistic Psychology, Call-to-Action National Convention, University of Michigan Hospitals, Song of the Morning Yoga Retreat Center, Weber Dominican Center, and Edgar Cayce's Association for Research and Enlightenment.

Also a writer and channel for Archangel Michael and Mary, Norma's columns appear regularly in the Sedona Journal and are circulated to more than 30 monthly magazines world-wide. Her musical compositions in the style of Hildegard have been recorded on the Healing Chants label.
