About Richard's Shamanic Journey:

What’s your strongest animal totem and what significance does it have?  This is your chance to connect with the animal guides that are there to help see you through, providing wisdom and answers that were just out of reach. We will gather in a sacred space with mats and pillows available for everyone to find a comfortable position. What's the question that you're afraid to ask anyone else? Is there a puzzle from your past that still has missing pieces? Be prepared, and we will begin when everyone has settled in.

 

Richard will play his medicine drum, which has traveled the world and a good portion of the United States, for approximately one hour. This is to keep the energy moving and to give everyone a starting and finish line… it also reminds everyone that Richard will be standing guard. When you fall into an altered state to the point where you disconnect from your physical form, you will be directed as to how to find your way to the Spirit World and, once there, you will have instruction as to how to identify your animal spirit totem.

 

Richard says, "This was a very powerful and healing moment for me when I first started journeying. I found over the years that I have many animal totems and they all had special meaning at the time that they came to me.  What will come to you? And when it does, will it Run, Swim, Burrow, Crawl, Climb, or Fly?"

LOGISTICS:

A limited number of floor cushions are available; you may wish to bring your own blanket and pillow, and consider bringing an eye covering (like a bandana or sleep mask) and even ear plugs. It's recommended to bring a journal or paper and pen to record your experience after the journey ends, while you remember the details.

Masks are optional but people are likely to be seated close to one another, so you may wish to wear one for that reason.

Rev. Richard Malz, RMT has been a Certified Usui Reiki Master for over 20 years. Reiki is a spiritually guided life force energy that helps facilitate the body’s own healing powers to work more efficiently. It helps enable healing and balancing energy physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Richard has had excellent and consistent results working on various ailments, especially joint, muscle, and ligament pain (he's especially awesome with knees). Richard doesn't  use the traditional methods, but rather those he has developed himself, where he "blasts" the Reiki energy so it is much more powerful and effective. Don’t worry, it’s still usually a gentle technique!

More than any other gifts, Richard has been channeling from Spirit the longest. He has been giving messages to people since childhood. He did not know where the wisdom came from but, as he got older and learned about communication with Spirit, it became clear.

​

Richard was ordained as a minister in the Congregation of Spiritual Alternatives in 2001.

​

Richard lets himself be guided by Spirit to do what best serves a client's needs at the time. While Reiki and channeling are usually his two main tools, he has extensively studied and learned various other modalities and incorporate them as needed and as Spirit directs him. These primarily include Rhythm Therapy, Integrated Energy Therapy (IET), Psychic Surgery, and Shamanic Journeying. Sometimes, Spirit even guides Richard in how to use techniques that are completely new to him.

Richard says, "I love what I do and am grateful every day to be able to help others so profoundly. The thing I love most about my work is that it always has an element of something new, so I feel I am continuously learning and growing along with my clients."
