About the Cancer Warrior Workshop

Please join us for an evening of Sound Healing Meditation intentionally created for Cancer Warriors. Experience connection and comfort with others who are walking the same path. Whether you are just beginning your cancer journey, if you are in the middle of treatment, or you’re a 3-year survivor in remission, this Alchemy Meditation with Sound Healing is for YOU!

We will begin group meditation by centering and grounding promptly at 7:10pm. A brief overview will be shared on how the benefits of sound therapy positively impact and compliment cancer treatments, rewire brainwaves, and release emotional holding patterns.

Allow the mind to completely disconnect... the tensions in the physical body will begin to dissolve through vibrational frequencies as you are immersed in the beautiful flow and alchemy of Sound Healing…

Take a deep dive into tranquil meditation as Tibetan bowls, quartz bowls, chimes, and Shamanic instruments are blended to break old patterns and thoughts, and re~connect the mind~body to an awakened sense of balance and restoration.

After witnessing first-hand the healing benefits of music therapy with her son, who is on the autism spectrum, Nonni began to delve even deeper into how the body and mind can change and expand with the type of alchemy that crystal healing bowls and other sound instruments have to offer. Her son has been a huge part of her learning curve and drive to continue to integrate sound healing with other mind~body connection modalities.

A more recent life-altering event came into play this past December when her son’s father was diagnosed with Stage 4 glioblastoma (brain cancer). Once he was stable (post-surgery, -radiation and -chemo), Nonni began to play the crystal healing bowls for him and give him Reiki. What she and her former spouse noticed in him was a deep state of full-body relaxation, an improved ability to mentally focus, decreased stress level, and an improved ability to sleep soundly.

Research has shown that sound therapy can be an incredible tool to boost the immune system and promote healing with cancer patients. According to Dr. Mitchell Gaynor, former director of medical oncology and integrative medicine at the Strang-Cornell Cancer Prevention Center in New York, upon introducing the resonance of singing bowls to his cancer patients as a regular regime, the patients' immune systems were stimulated and showed great improvement. Through his studies, Dr. Gaynor concluded that "just 20 minutes of sound healing creates positive effects on the biochemical makeup of the human body, such as immunoglobulins and interleukin.”

About Nonni Colbourne

nonni stefani.png

Stefani (Nonni) Colbourne is an intuitive empathic healer and was first initiated with the lineage of Sacred Temple Lomi Lomi (Ke Ala Hoku or “Pathway to the Stars”) by Tom and Alani Kuzma in 2002. She then went on to further her studies in this sacred Hawaiian healing art with Tamara Mon Dragon at MTI in Davis, CA.  Nonni’s work has organically evolved over the years to include Reiki, sound healing, the core essential elements of Tantric breathwork and meditation, and Ho’ oponopono, a gentle path to forgiveness, which she currently teaches in Ann Arbor, MI.

Between working with individual clients, helping her son find brain balance, and her former spouse to experience the healing benefits of sound therapy during his cancer journey, Nonni is passionate to introduce her Healing Bowl Meditations for Cancer Warriors to the community. There will also be focus groups scheduled this August for children, teens, and caregivers being impacted by a loved one with cancer.
