Winter Solstice is the longest night of the year.  After the solstice, each day is a little bit longer as the wheel turns towards summer.

Throughout history, as the season was marked by cold and darkness, people would gather on this night to revel and beckon the Sun's return with all the hope of the blessings the warmth could bring. For many people around the world, part of that celebration would include bringing greenery into the house, the blessing and burning of a Yule log, the burning of candles to symbolize the sun's warm light, and the blessing of the home to foster good health.  

It is with these rituals in mind that this Winter Solstice Gathering and Workshop has been organized. Please come share with us your energy and joy for the turning of the wheel as we mark this time of year! The event will start with a short presentation and winter meditation, after which attendees will craft a yule log, dress a candle with oil and herbs, and create a blessing spray for our homes.  All materials & instruction will be provided.
