These classes continue the teachings of Core Shamanism — the healing practices of tribal medicine people. With this knowledge, you will learn to heal others and heal your tribe/community, with soul retrieval, curse removal, extraction, and depossession.
There are six Advanced Classes in the program. You may mix and match Monday and Saturday Classes. NEW: Advanced classes 1–3 may be taken in any order, and will be repeated over time. 1–3 are a pre-requisite for taking classes 4–6. Classes 4–6 must still be taken sequentially. Advanced Shamanic Healing I: Soul Retrieval
(Pre-requisite: Shamanic Healing Fundamentals I-III)
Saturday, February 16, 2019, 2:00–5:00 PM $40
In Soul Retrieval class, you will learn what soul retrieval is, how it works, and what are the symptoms of soul loss. Your first drum journey will be to the Lower World to find an animal helping spirit who will help you with soul retrieval. Then you and a partner will take turns practicing doing soul retrieval for each other.
Advanced Shamanic Healing II: Extraction
(Pre-requisite: Advanced Shamanic Healing I)
Saturday, Feburary 23, 2019, 2:00–5:00 PM $40
In Extraction class, you will learn what extraction is, how it works, and what are the symptoms of “cosmic slime”. The instructor will give a demonstration and discuss different diagnostic techniques. You will go on a drum journey to the Lower World to find an animal helping spirit to help you with extraction and be your body protector. Then you and a partner will take turns practicing doing extraction for each other.
Advanced Shamanic Healing III: Curse Removal
(Pre-requisite: Advanced Shamanic Healing II)
Saturday, March 2, 2019 / 2:00–5:00 PM $40
In Curse Removal class, you will learn what curses are, how they are created, and the dangers of practicing sorcery generally. Your first journey will be to the Lower World to find an animal helping spirit to help you to locate and unravel curses, both personal and lineage. Then you and a partner will take turns practicing curse removal for each other.
Advanced Shamanic Healing IV: Depossession Part 1
(Pre-requisite: Advanced Shamanic Healing III)
Saturday, March 16, 2019, 2:00–5:00 PM $40
Depossession is nothing like the movies! It’s really about happy endings for everyone (or everything) involved. In this class, you will learn how to detect spirit attachments in a client, open the blessing field, remove attached spirits, and send them home. For the sake of simplicity, we will only be focusing on ghosts, not on all the other types of spirits you may encounter doing this work. You will go on a drum journey to find a helping spirit to help you with this work and keep you safe. Then the instructor will give some demonstrations, before students attempt this on their own in the next class.
Advanced Shamanic Healing V: Depossession Part 2
(Pre-requisite: Advanced Shamanic Healing IV)
Saturday, March 30, 2019, 2:00–5:00 PM $40
In this class, you will practice what was demonstrated in Class #4: How to detect spirit attachments in a client, open the blessing field, remove attached spirits and send them home. Advanced Shamanic Healing VI: Practicum
(Pre-requisite: Advanced Shamanic Healing V)
Saturday, April 6, 2019, 2:00–5:00 PM $40
This class is a culmination of all the student has learned. For this session, you will practice on a classmate to assess a client's needs and perform whatever techniques are warranted from among the Advanced Class lessons.
ABOUT MARJORIE FARNSWORTH, MBA, MHt, PhD
As a shamanic practitioner, Dr. Marjorie Farnsworth works with bright, ambitious, mostly positive people who may be struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, and depression, and who have not been able to find relief through the usual channels of psychology, counseling or psychiatric medications. these people would like to reclaim their power and happiness in life. Some also suffer from scattered thinking, chronic issues with fatigue, illness or misfortune, or who cannot remember the last time they felt joy. Still others feel like they never fit in anywhere, and struggle to find their direction in life.
Dr. Marjorie has been practicing Shamanism for 17 years, in additional to being a clinical hypnotherapist, life coach and professional public speaker. She owns three businesses in Ann Arbor: Spirit Assist Shamanic Healing, Spirit Assist Hypnotherapy, and Life After Corporate. She started her businesses after working as a middle manager for the Fortune 500 for almost 25 years, living in the Far East for over 2 years, traveling around the world, and earning master's degrees in both Chinese Literature and Business Management.
