Discover insight, wonder and joy when you create a multi-layered collage in a single session!

Building a collage with random papers becomes an exercise in learning to trust your inner voice and spirit guides. Imagine what you could create if you left judgment behind and listened to your heart! No art experience is required. All necessary materials will be provided — including canvas, gel medium (glue), paint brushes, and a dazzling variety of translucent papers.

About Deborah Cherrin

Deborah began her art journey in 2016. She studied art and collage with established artists and then started experimenting with an infinite palette of translucent papers. She developed a layering process that enables her to achieve translucence and depth in her work that reveals spirit in all its glowing, inspired, and enchanted beauty. Deborah creates artwork that represents her spiritual connection with the Earth and the mystical beauty that surrounds us.

Always intuitive and empathic, Deborah explored and refined her psychic abilities with classes at the Enlightened Soul Center. These experiences brought a new understanding of how spirit is present in her artwork. She uses mixed media collage to portray the realms we cannot see and their embodiment in nature and wildlife. Her bold, dazzling works channel spirit to inspire solace, wonder and joy.

Deborah is active in the local art community and her work has been featured at galleries and museums throughout Michigan, including the Guild of Artists and Artisans in Ann Arbor and the Muskegon Museum of Art. She has also participated in several juried art fairs, including the Matthaei Botanical Gardens, Saline Craft Fair, Ann Arbor City Club Art and Craft Festival, the Kerrytown Sunday Artisan Market, and the West Side Art Hop.

Seeking to expand her market beyond the traditional art outlets, in 2018 Deborah founded Wise Owl Artworks, the retail arm of her business. In addition to her original artwork, she offers framed and unframed giclee prints, totes and canvas bags, journals and greeting cards, home decor, and other gifts and accessories.
